Cook, food, server, atmosphere & music was perfect. I actually got a little emotional bc the beans were freshly made and reminded me instantly of my mom's cooking. Chef Julio stepped out to greet and chat with us. Our server Alex was so attentive and sweet. This is now my new spot to visit often.

The service was decent. But that's it. I was disappointed by the food served. I came based on the reviews. Maybe the items we had aren't the foods that best represent them. It's NOT ok to serve day old or older chicken. You can tell it was reheated from before. When you are paying the prices you are paying...THAT IS NOT OK! The pork chops were ok. The avocado salad my husband had was ok. My mother in law soup was bland. It just lacked depth. No effort. The alcapurrias were as you can see overly done. The rice and beans needed life. They tasted like the precooked beans that come in a can. Add culatro, some pumpkin, this is your opportunity to shine. When I tell you cuchofrito beans were better...they are and that's sad because most of them are mediocre at best. The bacalaitos were good. Now, if you go, order that. Do better. Just unacceptable.

“CANTITO” if we translate it, this means a little bit. Latin cuisine to be more specific Boricua/Puerto Rican. It is a small restaurant but big in flavor. It has a small bar with a variety of drinks. Let's talk about the protagonist of this visit: Fresh coconut lemonade, it is a drink from gods, super refreshing and delicious. I had never heard it before but I ordered it at the recommendation of the lady who was at the bar. 100% recommended (I took it without alcohol). The food: authentic Puerto Rican food with very good flavor, I didn't know what to order because I really wanted to order everything. “The first time I ate alcapurria I was a lil kid and eating it transported me to those days.” I cannot fail to mention the attention of the staff, the chef approached my table and suggested options for ordering 10/10. They definitely gained a new client.

Paid 40 dollars for a meal for two and they came out with the smallest bag possible. Supposedly a whole roast chicken with two sides. When we tried picking from their list on the menu clearly marked "sides", the sassy female host said actually you can only choose between 2 variations of rice and Mofongo. First red flag. Look at the pictures and tell me if that's enough for two people mind you, if it is worth 43 American dollars after tax. What a joke. Don't come here.

SAFE Review Service: was sub-par. The wait time was very long, nearly an hour before we were even served the appetizer. Yes, the place was very busy but this was a due to a planned party and they had not prepared for that. Other reviews also complain about a long wait, which gives me the feeling that it normally does take long time. The servers themselves were courteous and nice, though you could see that they were overwhelmed. Ambience: is a small restaurant with a party vibe to it. The place was very crowded and very loud. This is a place where you can hangout with friends, have some drinks. The tables are really small. Foo: was delicious and worth the wait. It was one of the most authentic Puerto Rican food I have had, second only to Sofrito perhaps. All items we ordered were delicious and do fresh. It tasted homemade. I would have given it 3 stars but the food made up for it. Experience: The long wait time was a big disappointment, but the good was worth the wait. The music being played was so loud that we could not have a conversation. The music itself was very good. They had a live band, a talented group.
